Pop-Up Shop Aesthetics

During our interviews for the research phase of our project, a lot of our makers commented on the display of your Pop-Up and the importance of the aesthetics of the shop.
As we all know the creative world relies heavily on pleasing visuals and this applies to your Pop-Up shop, you want to draw people into your shop. You can do this whether you have a window to create your display in or even if it’s just a sandwich board placed outside, you want to make this as visually exciting as you can.
Remember it doesn’t have to cost the earth. Think about the main theme of your shop or the products you are selling and build around that. Spend time online gathering ideas, and check which have worked best for others. Also take a look around your local area and see what others are up to with their displays. Don’t underestimate the value of putting effort into the display, consider every angle of your Pop-up.
Inside your shop, you don’t want to over pack the space, if displaying products on tables consider using trestle tables so you can hide extra stock under them, hidden away by some material draped over the table. Most high street stores also use this as a space saving option.

To keep costs low think about items you already have that can be used as an interesting display. Use a small ladder as a display unit.

Old suitcases can be used stacked on top of each other and used as a small stand or a display case.

I know most people will not be trying to sell fruit but this is a great use of old wine crates as a table/stand for your shop.

This is a super creative use of paper, the only real prop here is the type writer, simply use some fishing wire to hang the paper from the window. Think of your window as a small exhibition space for your shop.
